Sheffield City Centre Eco/City Motors Event

Friday 10th June 2011 will see our Pentagon Toyota Sheffield centre participate in the Sheffield City Centre Eco/City Motors Event, located at Barker’s Pool (opposite John Lewis). Here we will be showcasing our two Hybrid models; the all new Auris Hybrid and world famous Prius.

The Auris Hybrid boasts an impressive 74mpg, £0 road tax and very low emissions which results in a BIK of just 10% for all business Users. The Auris Hybrid looks like any Auris 5 door hatchback, with clean, appealing lines and a spacious, well-appointed interior. The difference lies beneath the skin, where the 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine combines with a 60kW electric motor, for zero to 62mph acceleration in 11.4 seconds – performance that matches conventional 2.0 litre hatchbacks.

The third-generation Toyota Prius builds on the strengths of the earlier, revolutionary models. That means an even smoother, quieter, cleaner and more fuel efficient drive. It means more space, dynamism, power and performance. Prius has a combined power of 136DIN hp. The smooth and efficient seamlessly boosts you to 0 - 62 mph in a crisp 10.4 second, yet you’ll only use 3.9 litres (combined cycle) of fuel for every 62 miles of your journey. Sporting Heritage

Under a design concept that Toyota's European Design Development centre has dubbed 'Functional Beauty', it's bold, sweeping form has been generated through the constraints of function. The long, low bonnet, high wings and rear-set cabin pay homage to Toyota's illustrious sports car history, while the aerodynamic, muscular bodywork has been made as compact as possible.

FT-86 II combines a free-revving boxer petrol engine and 6-speed manual transmission with light weight and a low centre of gravity for the optimum power-to-weight ratio. Both powertrain and driving position have been set as low and far back as possible, awarding the FT-86 II lively, accessible performance, readily-exploitable dynamic abilities and maximum driving pleasure.

We are now taking details for those interested in the FT-86 II once it goes on sale in 2012. If you would like us to contact you nearer the time please visit
