Plenty of ‘monkeying’ around with the new Hyundai i30

How can you put the new i30 through its paces to ensure it’s fit for your little monkey’s…….let actual monkey’s run riot in it of course! No it’s not a late April’s fool, a troop of Baboons at Knowsley Safari Park were actually left to their own devices for 10 hours in a brand new i30 to give it the ultimate durability test. Hyundai i30 Product Manager Felicity Wood said: "At Hyundai we believe in new thinking which is why we decided to take a new approach with this durability test. The fact that it survived with only a few scrapes is testament to the way a modern Hyundai is designed and engineered.”

David Ross who is General Manager at Knowsley Safari Park said: “For a baboon to have a car to play with for a whole day is manna from heaven! If you put them on any car they will scour it for the weak points and find any faults. At one point there were 40 monkeys in the car, pushing it to its limits - that’s ten times the size of the average human family.”

To thank the monkeys for their time and effort Hyundai donated £1,000 to the Primate Society of Great Britain.

Hyundai really do give a monkeys about building tough cars!

Pentagon Accident Assistance

Pentagon Accident Assistance

Unfortunately accidents do happen and dealing with the aftermath can be stressful and a very time consuming experience. With this in mind we have introduced Pentagon Accident Assistance - a free of charge service to our customers.

Make Pentagon your first call and we will:

  • Provide a replacement vehicle
  • Organise recovery of your vehicle
  • Collate estimate costs and liaise with your insurance company
  • Provide Non Fault claims assistance
  • Provide like for like vehicles on non-fault claims
  • Assist in recovery of your uninsured losses

Your right to choose who repairs your Toyota
Generally insurance companies direct policyholders to their ‘approved’ repairers. As well as keeping costs down they can also dictate the level of service and repair you receive. This can result in non-genuine parts being used without the repairer informing you. As well as the risk if invalidating your manufacturer’s warranty, these parts may also be fitted without the same care and attention you would receive from a Toyota approved repairer.

As a motor vehicle insurance policy holder you have the right to choose the repairer you wish to carry out the repairs on your vehicle, regardless of your insurance company’s advice. This in no way compromises your insurance contract and we’d always recommend only using a Toyota approved repairer - after all who knows your vehicle better than us!

Remember, in the event of an accident you have the choice of how and where your Toyota is repaired. Having an accident is stressful enough but with our exclusive 24 hour Toyota Accident Assistance you can minimise the stress and inconvenience, and enjoy real peace of mind knowing there’s help at hand when you really need it. Toyota Accident Assistance is available free to all Toyota drivers no matter how old your car is.

Premier non-fault Accident Scheme
Upon utilising our Premier non fault scheme Pentagon Toyota will manage your claim which may include any of the following services;

-          Vehicle repairs at an Approved Toyota Accident Repair Centre, fully guaranteed without compromising your manufacturer’s warranty
-          Excess waiver or recovery
-          Personal injury compensation
-          Like for like vehicle replacement
